Lamar Jackson returned to his roots on Saturday. He was honored by having his jersey number retired by the University of Louisville at halftime of the Cardinals tilt with Syracuse. Lamar made sure he was looking up to snuff for the event.

Gucci-clad from head to toe, the Baltimore Ravens QB wore a green nylon Gucci fest. He also had a Gucci jacket, Gucci t-shirt, and Gucci jogging pants. The shoes were White Tiger Ace sneakers to round out the look. TMZ did the math, and it was not a cheap outfit to put together.

“Here’s a breakdown (per the Gucci site):

-Down padded nylon vest — $2,500
-GG canvas jogging pants — $1,020
-Music shirt — $650″

The gear might seem expensive to the average person, but Lamar Jackson is not the average person. The QB has earned over $9 million in his short four-year NFL career. He’ll be due for an even bigger deal very soon. He’s not sweating the details for cash.

Lamar played his college ball for the U of L, where he won the coveted Heisman Trophy in 2016. He was drafted by the Ravens, where he’s amassed nearly 10,000 career passing yards and almost 4,000 yards on the ground in just four seasons. He is beyond a Hall of Fame pace at this point in his career.

Congratulations to Lamar Jackson on your big moment! There’s nobody who could ever put on the #8 for Louisville and do it justice the way LJ did. For his next trick, Lamar would like to add a Super Bowl to his resume.
