Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are both key female rappers in the game and that can call for some fans to measure the two against each other. Halle Berry recently weighed in on this situation where she called Cardi B “The Queen.” Nicki’s Barbz didn’t like that very much.

Berry said, “I would like to say thank you today to Cardi B. She was my partner in crime. I reached out to her. Of course, she’s the queen of Hip Hop. I reached out to Cardi, and we paired and we created, I think a soundtrack and an album that is not only historic, but I think, is a beautiful backdrop for this story.”

Cardi B answered back to Halle Berry, and so really appreciated the nod from Storm of the X-Men. The Oscar-winning Monster’s Ball actress said that Cardi is The Queen, and obviously Cardi appreciated the nod.

Cardi B tweeted out to say, “I know how some of you girls like to tussle over this typa childish shit… but ntm on Halle Berry. Anyway her movie #BRUISED dropping THAT SHE DIRECTED HERSELF on Netflix on November 24th. The FIRST female rap movie soundtrack!! we produced together out this FRIDAY!”

We’ll have to see if the conversation continues, but Halle Berry seems to have made her choice.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
