Adele recently made a fan’s year when she helped a concertgoer propose to his girlfriend at a recent televised show. During the taping of Adele: One Night Only, which was taped in Los Angeles for CBS, she asked the audience for silence as confused fans looked on.

From there, a fan named Quentin led his girlfriend, Ashley, onto the stage. Ashley was blindfolded. She was shocked to see herself on stage as Quentin romantically dropped to one knee. Adele was hiding just off stage at the time, when Quentin popped the question as he fought back tears of joy. The Today Show shared the moment.

“I want to thank you for being so patient with me … I am extremely proud of you and I mean every day, you blow my mind. There’s absolutely nothing that you cannot do, and I just know that you’re going to be an amazing mother to our kids one day, and I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you, and I will continue to love you forever. Will you marry me?”

Just as Quentin asked Ashley the big question, the opening chords for Adele’s song “Make You Feel My Love” hit. Adele then serenaded the now-engaged pair. Ashley was in complete shock as she sobbingly took in the scene.

Adele then joked with the couple and the crowd. She said she wouldn’t have had anybody to sing to if Ashley said no. Obviously, there was no chance of that happening. The pair seems absolutely smitten.

The special celebrates Adele’s latest effort, “30.” It’s the fourth studio album from the English singer. She will look to continue to build on the success of her previous releases, which garnered worldwide praise and success. Singer Marc Anthony recently surprised a fan with a similar engagement scenario.
