Katie Maloney is trying to have a baby with husband Tom Shwartz. On an episode of her “You’re Gonna Love Me” podcast Katie opened up about societal pressure to get pregnant, feeling like the odd one out in the Vanderpump group and facing invasive questions.

A Vanderpump Rules baby boom happened in 2020. Lala Kent, Stassi Schroeder, Brittany Cartwright and Scheana Shay all got pregnant around the same time and are now mothers. Katie opened up to Us magazine regarding this last year;

Tom and I decided a while ago that we would start trying this past summer, which we have,” Maloney said. “It hasn’t happened for us yet. So, when the time is right for us. But in the meantime, I am having a lot of fun being along for the ride with my friends.”

So its safe to say that Katie and Tom are trying for more than two years. Katie said on her podcast that she was already feeling “under so much pressure” to get pregnant, when Lisa Vanderpump came to know that the pair have been visiting the fertility clinic she had some invasive questions.

“When I sit down and I’m talking to Lisa and she’s like, ‘Well, why are you guys going to see a fertility doctor? Did you even try?’ That question — I get where it was coming from, it’s coming from a good place,” Katie said. “But it can feel very invalidating and invasive. Because it’s like, ‘Yes, I tried. Of course, we tried.’”

“I started to feel like all eyes were on me,” Katie revealed. “And my friends were like, ‘You’re next! It’s going to happen! Keep trying! Keep going! It was a lot … I wasn’t handling it very well.”

Having fertility issues is a lot to handle. Katie mentioned on the latest episode on Vanderpump Rules that the problem is in the process of being resolved soon. Tom and Katie are both in on it and are trying their best. We wish them well and hope we get to hear the good news very soon.
