LL Cool J and Eminem have been placing boatloads of respect on each other since their performance during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Eminem talked about how LL was his teenage idol. The rappers have a great deal of mutual respect.

After posting a photo from the performance on his Instagram, LL shouted back to Slim Shady. The new Hall of Famer gave Eminem props after their performance of “Rock the Bells” at the induction event.

“@eminem Thank you for joining me during this special moment!!!! Love you bro!!”

Eminem has been receiving love from industry behemoths lately. Drake has been angling for the two to do a collaboration. He recently released his tenth Billboard #1 album. He’s also in the food service business in his hometown of Detroit.

LL Cool J is considered one of the most influential pioneers in hip-hop. Since 1985, he’s released thirteen full-length albums. He’s also hosted several Grammy Awards shows. His television and film credits include everything from 90’s Nickelodeon kids hit The Adventures of Pete & Pete to WWE SmackDown.

LL is a huge fan of Eminem. He believes that Shady will someday join him in the annals of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The pair represents a living embodiment of the evolution of hip-hop. There’s no doubt that the two legends should someday be honored in the same place.
