Erika Jayne racked up $14 million in credit card debt during her 21-year marriage to Tom Girardi. In documents obtained relating to a lawsuit by the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy case for her estranged husband’s law firm, the staggering number was revealed.

On last night’s final episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Erika defended the debt. She said it’s just a part of the lifestyle. The massive credit card bill came via Jayne’s use of an American Express card, as reported by Page Six. She addressed the huge hole she’s in with host Andy Cohen.

“So, if you knock that down to $2 million per year, that’s all pretty much what we’re doing this year. I mean, doing in this lifestyle.”

Considering that Erika Jayne is broke and dependent on the show for money, it seems like the debt may be insurmountable. Erika says that every dime she made during the marriage went straight to Girardi. She claims to not understand why she is being sued.

“This is a very long bankruptcy that will be pulled apart, both his firm and his personal bankruptcy. I am being sued by everyone who thinks I’ve got some magical pot of gold at some rainbow,”

As long as she had access to the wealthy attorney’s AmEx card, she did have a pot of gold. Now that the well has dried up, she’s trying to defend her irresponsible spending as part of a lifestyle. Erika Jayne has been rumored to be implicated in a multi-million dollar charity embezzlement scheme masterminded by Tom Girardi.
