Eminem shared the stage with legendary Rapper and Record Producer LL Cool J and delivered an outstanding performance of “Rock the Bells”. LL Cool J also performed “All I have” with pop sensation Jennifer Lopez.
LL Cool J was inducted to Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame this Saturday, Dr. Dre did the honors of delivering induction speech. Dre made many references to the rapper’s long and unforgettable career;
What does LL actually stand for? Ladies love? Living large? Licking lips?. I’m here because I personally think it stands for Living Legend. LL’s longevity is unparalleled in hip hop. [He’s] the rare artist loved by you, your mom and all of your kids all at once.
Dre reminisced about days gone by as well, “Whenever I hear the first album Radio, it immediately transports me back to when I was just getting started as a DJ behind the turntables. I started off practicing mixing and scratching “Rock the Bells” in my garage. And then I took that shit to the club and watched the club go crazy…LL’s body of work contains some of the most diverse hip-hop has ever seen. He became rap’s first pop superstar while staying true to his roots representing Queens, New York.”
Then LL Cool J took the stage. His set was jam packed with timeless masterpieces and supported by two major surprise guests — Eminem and Jennifer Lopez.
Marshall joined his hero for a new “Rock the Bell” rendition. Both rappers turned the pressure up high and truly rocked the stage with their talent and mastery. Eminem encouraged the crowd to join him in appreciating LL Cool J asking them to “Make some noise for the muthaf*ckin’ G.O.A.T!”
This is not the first time Eminem has performed this song. He was joined by Black Thought to deliver “Rock The Bells” on the Hip-Hop Honor Awards stage in 2009,
