Ice Cube is one of the biggest artists in the music industry. The legendary rapper is also a huge movie star, and he has a huge demand for upcoming projects. While the rapper was offered $9 million for an upcoming comedy, he walked away from the project.

Oh Hell No is the upcoming project which had Ice Cube all set for the lead role. Had the rapper stuck with the project, he would have had a massive payday of $9 million. However, he had one demand to fulfill, which was simply not tenable to him.

Ice Cube had to just get vaccinated for COVID-19. It was just that simple, but Cube chose to stick to his guns. After Kyrie Irving has also been losing money due to not taking the vaccine, many celebrities have come to his defense and take a stand against the vaccine. The Hollywood Reporter said:

Throughout the pandemic, Ice Cube has promoted mask wearing. In August, Bacone College in Oklahoma thanked the star and others for a donation of 2,000 face masks to use as personal protective equipment. In April 2020, amid COVID-19 lockdowns, he unveiled “Check Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Self” branded T-shirts, featuring the star in a mask, in partnership with the manufacturer Black Out, with proceeds to benefit frontline health workers.

Cube didn’t only lose the $9 million though. He also lost an opportunity to act alongside comedy legend and fellow musician Jack Black. The movie was slated for a winter production start, and that too in Hawaii. However, with Black recovering from an injury he incurred at his appearance at Conan’s, the project is going through a cold phase.
