Lala Kent recently broke off her engagement to Randall Emmett earlier this month. The couple had been together for three years, and have a seven-month-old daughter together. It seems that Emmett’s worries are not at an end just yet.

Earlier this year, in March, Emmett had filed court documents, seeking to reduce the amount he has to pay in child support to his ex-wife, Ambyr Childers. It seems that the cause for this request is financial trouble.

As per a report by Page Six, the producer has accrued significant debt, and can no longer afford to pay child support. In January, the court had mandated that Emmett maintain a monthly bank balance of $50,000 to fund his children’s non-tuition-related expenses.

However, Emmett has now racked up a $500,000 debt to the IRS. Emmett also accused Childers of spending the child support money on luxury items that were “not legitimate expenses” for their two daughters, London and Rylee. The court documents outlines Emmett’s financial status.

If forced to continue making these deposits, Randall will fall deeper and deeper into debt and will be forced to file for bankruptcy.

In a personal statement, Emmett also explained that he only produced a single movie in 2020, as opposed to the multiple movies he produces normally. As a result, his income has been drastically reduced.
