Snoop Dogg is working on a new project with Eminem. He’s also sharing the stage with Shady at the Super Bowl. Things weren’t always so friendly between the two rap superstars. A feud emerged last year when Snoop dissed the Detroit rapper by leaving him off of a top-ten list.

Snoop explained how he squashed the beef during an appearance on The Breakfast Club. He simply used his words.

“Man, I love Eminem! The thing is that we love Hip Hop so much, we competitive, we battle rappers, so that was supposed to trigger that in him. But we brothers and we family so we learned to appreciate each other for what we do and how we get down, and we had a long conversation about the respect that we have for each other and the way we need to talk in public about each other. I felt like I was out of pocket. I apologized to him and I let him know that I’m just bettering myself. I make mistakes, I ain’t perfect, I’m Snoop Dogg.”

Snoop took responsibility for the perceived sleight. He stepped up like an adult and they talked it out. The two obviously share a great deal of respect for each other.

After The Doggfather left Eminem out of his top ten rappers of all time list, Em took his feelings directly to the studio. He expressed his disappointment on the song Zeus.

“Last thing I need is Snoop doggin’ me/Man, Dogg, you was like a damn god to me/Nah, not really/I had ‘dog’ backwards.”

Given their recent collaborations, it seems that Snoop and Shady have worked things out. Sometimes, you just have to be the bigger person and apologize. Now, the world is looking forward to seeing them perform together.
