The horrific shooting accident that left one person dead on the set of an Alec Baldwin movie left everyone with a lot of questions. Why was there live ammo on set? How could the person responsible for the guns be so negligent?

According to The Wrap, Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed has a history of being an irresponsible employee. When it comes to the person handling real guns on a movie set, that is very bad news. Nicholas Cage was among those who complained about Gutierrez.

During the filming of the Western flick The Old Way, Cage became extremely upset after Gutierrez failed to follow on-set gun safety protocols. It’s worth repeating that this is the person who is responsible for guns on the set.

After Gutierrez discharged a firearm multiple times on set without warning to the cast or crew, Cage lashed out. Cage and crew member Stu Brumbaugh demanded that she be fired for her lack of concern. Cage scolded her.

“Make an announcement, you just blew my f*cking eardrums out!”

A producer who worked on The Old Way denied that any such incident took place during filming. They said the incident was being blown out of proportion.

“I have no such recollection of this event on our set. I asked my partners the same. The details on some of these accounts specifically when it pertains to ‘The Old Way’ have been blown out of proportion.”

Rust‘s director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, was killed in the accident. Some fans online are calling for Alec Baldwin’s arrest. Baldwin himself is heartbroken over the incident.
