The world of music is an ever-changing landscape and new trends seem to pop out at a moment’s notice. Adam Levine of Maroon 5 previously spoke on the change in the music industry over the years. It seems he has now responded to the criticism he received after what transpired during a recent concert.

Maroon 5 performed a concert this past Saturday and Adam Levine did not have a good time. This is because one fan invaded the stage when the band was playing “Sunday Morning” and decided to throw her arms around Adam Levine.

Levine looked visibly irate and uncomfortable as soon as it happened. In footage captured by a fan, Adam seemed bewildered that someone grabbed him. He then mouths the word, “f-ck!” while shaking off the interaction.

Fan opinions regarding the interaction were divided, as some felt Levine should have been more respectful while others felt the woman had no right to just barge in.

Adam Levine took to his Instagram story and uploaded a video. In the video, Adam Levine responded to the criticism he received due to his behavior with the fan. Ultimately he just wanted to put on a great show for fans in attendance.

So I just wanted to address the Hollywood Bowl incident thing, a fan coming up to me onstage. I have always been someone that loves, respects, worships our fans. Without our fans, we don’t have a job. I say that all the time, to our fans.

To think that anyone would believe that I thought that I thought that they were– our fans were beneath us, or less than us, makes my stomach turn. That’s just not who I am. That’s not who I’ve ever been.

So I just need you guys to know I was really startled, and sometimes when you’re startled, you have to shake it off and move on, because I’m doing my job up there. And, you know, it’s what I pride myself on, so I need to let you guys know what my heart is, and my heart is that connection that exists between the band performing onstage and the fans.

Hopefully you can all understand that.”

Adam Levine is ultimately an artist and he cares about living up to fan expectations. It is understandable why Adam Levine did what he did. We hope such an incident doesn’t happen again.
