We are sad to learn about the passing of Peter Scolari. The Bosom Buddies actor was 66-years-old at the time of his passing.

CNN has confirmed that Scolari passed away after a long battle with cancer. That two-year battle was a hard road to travel for him and he sadly died on October 22nd, 2021.

He also won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Hannah’s father, Tad Horvath, on Girls in 2016. The acting community is starting to comment on the wonderful man and actor that we all lost today.

Harvey Fierstein tweeted out to say, “Sad to see the news that Peter Scolari lost his battle with cancer. There wasn’t a sweeter man on the planet. We performed together in HAIRSPRAY for a time and he was always a total delight. Farewell, dear Peter.”

Scolari had many roles throughout his career, including on Newhart, Murphy Brown, and The Good Fight. He was probably best-known for his stint for two seasons on Bosom Buddies.

Our deepest condolences go out to all of Peter Scolari’s family, friends, and fans at this time.
