Meghan McCain spoke her truth as she called her time at The View “toxic.” She told all, but that didn’t sit too well with ABC executives in the slightest.

TMZ reports that McCain really upset former bosses at ABC with her comments. They used the phrase that those executives are “pissed off” at this point. They believe that she is framing things incorrectly to get buzz.

Sources close to the production tell TMZ … ABC honchos are furious about Meghan’s new memoir, and the subsequent interviews she’s recently done — characterizing “The View” as a toxic work environment, full of coworkers/cohosts who despised her.

It was reported that “there are many points of dissent.” ABC executives claim that the idea that McCain left on her own is incorrect. They also disagree with her story that The View is toxic.

The report continues to say that, “Meghan was essentially forced out of her role after an internal investigation into the environment she describes.” This was due to “Meghan’s behavior on and off camera, not her coworkers’.”

ABC Chief Kim Godwin reportedly did a “thorough investigation” on the matter as she met with “key stakeholders of the show.” That investigation uncovered that Meghan was “the source of a lot of the in-fighting that ultimately played out on the show.”

It seems like the two sides are not going to come to any sort of agreement at this time. We will continue monitoring this story here at Thirsty.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
