Dave Chappelle is not too worried about the recent controversy over his Netflix special, The Closer. The perceived transphobic comments Chappelle made on the special caused a recent walkout of trans employees of the streaming giant.

The comedian was recently spotted by TMZ partying in London. It appears Chappelle isn’t bothered by the bad press. The controversial comic spent some time at the posh Annabel’s nightclub on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, his comedy show was being protested at Netflix HQ.

Yesterday, Netflix finally released a statement in response to the backlash. Several other celebrities, including fellow funnymen Damon Wayans and Joe Rogan, showed their support for Chappelle.

The organizer of the walkout, Ashlee Marie Preston, has invited Chappelle to have a conversation about the harm she says the Dave caused. Chappelle has not responded.

Despite their recent statement, some at Netflix have also voiced their support for Dave Chappelle. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has issued multiple statements in support of the content.
