NBA YoungBoy was arrested earlier on federal criminal charges. The rapper continues to be behind bars, even now, months later. However, the rapper’s legal team has now requested that he be released on bond.

YoungBoy has been denied bond before. However, The Advocate reports that this time his legal team is advocating for house arrest, requesting that the rapper be relocated to his Utah residence, full-time. This would also allow YoungBoy to build an in-house studio and continue working on his music.

The denial of bond last time was a result of Chief U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick believing that YoungBoy “is inclined toward reckless, illegal, dangerous behavior.” That being said, YoungBoy’s lawyers have asked Dick to reconsider, since being under house arrest would keep him from endangering the community.

Prosecutors quickly pushed back, citing YoungBoy’s history of criminal behaviour. As of yet, the judge has not issued a decision regarding YoungBoy’s bond.
