Lil Nas X has been honored many times before and this time he is receiving a big nod from his home city. The city of Atlanta just declared that the rapper now has his own day.

According to a report from TMZ, the Atlanta City Council proclaimed that October 20th is “Lil Nas X Day” in the city. This was a surprise for Lil Nas X and they even gave him a nifty plaque.

Atlanta says that Lil Nas X is helping to shape the city with his “artistic influence and transformative influence.” He is certainly making his own mark on the world.

Lil Nas X got the plaque Wednesday night at a special dinner at The Gathering Spot ATL … and it was presented by city councilman and mayoral candidate Antonio Brown, the city’s first Black LQBTQ+ council member.

Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker and Miss Lawrence were also there at the ceremony to witness Lil Nas X’s big moment. He was obviously very happy to receive this honor.

The rapper was born and raised in the Atlanta area, so this means a lot to him. We’ll have to see what is next for Lil Nas X, but today was a good day for him.
