Will Smith is known for his highly dramatic roles like his role in the upcoming King Richard in which he plays the father of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams. Of course there are those of us that watch hours and hours of Fresh Prince reruns too, but what can be said as well, is that there probably aren’t any fans at all that remember Will Smith for being out of shape.

Unfortunately, just this past May, Will posted a video of himself in just that state…seriously out of shape. It was certainly hard for fans to see him that way, as we’re sure it was pretty difficult for he himself to be in that state, especially for a man that had shown off quite the athletic built in past years.

Looking back on roles like the character in I Am Legend, Dr. Robert Neville, and even seeing his fit frame in Ali, in which he played the legendary boxer. He has a YouTube channel, and in it, his unfortunate decline was shown steadily as the years went on, he having trouble perhaps keeping up with his workouts for whatever reason.

Anyways, now he pokes fun at the way he let himself go in the past, and he shared a video of himself and the transformation is pretty spectacular. H’s back in shape and is leaner than he ever was. The video shows him lifting weights, training with machines and even working on what looks like some pretty serious martial arts ground work.

The footage got many excited, and although we’re sure that he’s done the work for his health, in order to feel better, there are those getting excited at the prospect of what roles he has coming that he perhaps needs to be in such great shape for.

He is currently filming the Antoine Fuqua action/thriller entitled Emancipation, and there are rumors of yet another Bad Boys film, especially considering how the third installment of the franchise ended, there’s certainly reason for one. Regardless though, we’re just happy he feels great, and he looks great too.
