Lizzo has never been afraid to clap back at her online haters. The Detroit diva has faced body shaming and negativity ever since breaking through with the surprise 2016 hit Good as Hell. She says she’s going to continue to fight back.

In a now-deleted response to a rude comment on Lizzo’s latest twerking video, the singer took her haters to task. She followed up with a tweet that listed some of the positive work she promotes and told her detractors to get a life.

“I promote meditation, plant based nutrition, flexibility & strength by performing high energy choreography for 90mins straight, body confidence & in the video ur ‘commenting’ on I’m literally dancing… get a f*cking life. If I’m moby ur the d*ck.. & I suggest u hop off mine bitch.”

Lizzo then went on to ponder why she even bothers with social media. She said that there’s just too much hate and the love feels fake lately. It was a calmer, more thoughtful moment.

“Sometimes I wonder why I still do this sh*t—the love feels fake these days and the hate is way too real.”

Hopefully Lizzo knows that social media use is optional. It could benefit us all to take a little break sometime. Lizzo is just out there trying to spread a positive message. That could benefit all of us.
