Jamie Foxx has finally revealed the reason behind him not wanting to get married. The 53-year-old was previously involved in a high-profile relationship with Katie Holmes. The two dated for six years before eventually parting ways in 2019.

In a recent interview with E! News’ Daily Pop, Foxx, said he’s not interested in living the “cookie cutter” lifestyle, which includes marriage. He spoke out about his future while promoting his new book “Act Like You Got Some Sense.”

“The 2.5 children, the wood paneling on the station wagon and the cottage, I didn’t think that was for me. The pressure of being married, I don’t think we can have a conversation about it. I just keep moving.”

The “Django Unchained” actor elaborated on how not marrying paved the way for him to form a better relationship with his two daughters: 27-year-old Corrine and 12-year-old Annalise.

“A lot of those marriages ended up not doing well as the kids got older. Unfortunately, we saw the kids get fractured from their families. Us, we actually came together more. So I don’t know what that is, I just know that it is different but it’s a whole lot of love.

“It was by design to have my whole family living with me, because I don’t want them living away from my circumstance. I want them to see and share the things that I go through. There’s a lot of hard work, there’s a lot of disappointment, but there’s a lot of things to celebrate.”

Following his breakup with Holmes, after a 6-year relationship that they kept mostly private, Jamie has been linked to other women including singer Sela Valve, whom he was seen partying with in L.A. The actor was also spotted with a mystery woman in Malibu.
