Soccer has got some of the craziest fans in the world. That is no hyperbole. Soccer is one of the biggest sports in the world. Over three billion people watch it. That’s 1/2 of the world’s population, by the way. Fans of this gigantic sports are known for taking their celebrations to the next level.

That is exactly what happened during Sunday’s match between Vitesse Arnhem and NEC Nijmegen. Vitesse fans got pretty ecstatic following their team’s 1-0 victory over the opponents.

Hundreds of fans were already standing in their stands jumping up and down with joy when the Vitesse players decided to do the same on the field. As the two sides began their celebrations, the stand beneath the front row collapsed causing several fans to come down with it.

Thankfully, no one was injured. Many even continued with their celebrations after the incident, waving their hands in the air to show that they were safe after the stand came tumbling down. It is safe to say that soccer has got some of the best fans in the world.

The victory pushed Vitesse to the number sixth spot with 16 points when it comes to overall rankings. NEC Nijmegen, on the other hand, are on the 11th spot with 11 points. AFC Ajax are currently leading the table with 22 points.
