Elon Musk is now worth as much as fellow billionaires Bill Gates and Warren Buffet combined. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, who is the world’s richest person, had a net worth of $230 billion as of Friday morning, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Gates sits in fourth place with $130 billion while Buffett is tenth with $102 billion. Gates and Buffett have both previously held the title of World’s Richest Person. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos previously held the title since 2017 until Musk first passed him in January with a net worth of $185 billion.

Musk added more than $60 billion to his fortune this year alone, thanks to Tesla stock performing well, as well as a recent share of Space X stock, which valued the company at $100 billion. That same Space X deal added $11 billion to Musk’s net worth.

While Musk sits at the top of the billionaires rankings. Bezos is still the second-wealthiest person on the planet with a net worth of $191 billion. Gates and Buffett would both be significantly closer to Musk in the billionaire rankings if it weren’t for their philanthropic giving. Both men have given away tens of billions of dollars to charitable causes over the years, and have pledged to continue giving away their wealth. Musk has been criticized for not giving away more of his fortune.

Musk has said he prefers to remain anonymous when giving away his money, and asked followers on Twitter this year for “critical feedback” on ways he can donate. Earlier this year he pledged to give away $150 million, including a $100 million prize in a carbon removal contest.
