America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel made headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. Mandel was rushed to the hospital after fainting while at a Starbucks. Now it seems the reason for his fainting has been revealed by Howie Mandel himself.

Howie Mandel returned home after the scary incident at Starbucks. It was said that the star was responsive and able to sit up on his own before paramedics from the Las Angeles Fire Department arrived on the scene.

While speaking on his podcast Howie Mandel Does Stuff, Mandel revealed why he had fainted in the first place. Mandel stated that he had a colonoscopy a few days prior to the incident. Mandel was ultimately severely dehydrated when he was at Starbucks which led to his fainting.

“The thing is that I was dehydrated. I had a colonoscopy a few days ago. I don’t know if you know, but they empty you out. You take a drink and you empty out. I had consensual diarrhoea for an entire night. Then I was dehydrated. From the moment I woke up from the colonoscopy, I went to work — I did Logan Paul’s podcast, and I did a podcast here, and then all I kind of lived on was coffee and caffeine, which also exacerbates dehydration.

“It was also the price of the caramel macchiato vente that threw me over the edge. I got really dizzy and I couldn’t stand up, but I don’t think I ever lost consciousness.

I got totally soaked with sweat. For someone who’s dehydrated, I had a lot of sweat in me, so that also exacerbated the dehydration. And then the next thing I know, I was surrounded by the fire department, and they took me to the hospital.”

Howie Mandel has been one of the mainstays of Hollywood for a very long time now. Fans are certainly relieved to hear that he is doing well right now and couldn’t have asked for anything more.
