Billie Eilish is one of the biggest names in the music industry right now. The 19-year-old has been a consistent chart topper and on the top of the game. She performed for the first time since 2020 for a huge crowd at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas in September. Eilish is also going to make history as the youngest solo act to ever headline the Glastonbury in 2022. The young singer accomplished another feat as she confronted Jimmy Kimmel for making her look foolish.

Eilish made a 2019 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel where she talked about her historic Grammys nominations. What caused a stir on social media was the fact the Eilish couldn’t name a single member of the American rock band Van Halen. She answered with a “Who?” to the question, and Kimmel jokingly replied with, “I’m going to start crying.”

People online gave Eilish a hard time over this, not realizing that she was only 10-years-old when Van Halen put out their last album in 2012. Even the band’s bassist, Wolfgang Van Halen, said that it was cool and urged fans to check out Billie Eilish’s music.

On October 13, Eilish got the chance to confront Kimmel for the infamous interview as she visited Jimmy Kimmel Live once again. On the show, Kimmel mentioned that he had a copy of a bucket list she had written in 2014. Kimmel said Eilish was 14 at the time, but she corrected him that she was actually 12. “Think about that Jimmy,” she quipped. “How old were you in 2014?”

Eilish segued into the topic of her previous interview and brought up the time when Kimmel quizzed her on pop culture references from 1984. Naturally, she would be unfamiliar with things from the time before she was even born. She confronted him and said that he made her look stupid when she was on the show last time. Kimmel explained, “Well, yeah, accidentally. I didn’t do it on purpose.”

Eilish then revealed that she was just playing along. “I thought it was funny because I was playing along, and everybody thought I was actually serious and didn’t know anything,” she said.

Kimmel then added, “As I recall, you weren’t familiar with Van Halen, and I was like, ‘What!'” Eilish then excused herself by replying, “Yes, there was a lot things you asked, and I was like, ‘I don’t know.'”

It must have felt nice for Billie Eilish to confront Jimmy Kimmel after getting dunked on by trolls on social media for not knowing about things from the time when she wasn’t even born. Both of them took it in stride, and Eilish was able to clarify that she was just playing along. It seems like this particular drama for Billie Eilish is over for now.
