Tyga, the artist and rapper behind Careless World: Rise of the Last King, surrendered to police after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend on Monday.

As was reported by TMZ, his girlfriend, Camaryn Swanson, accused the rapper of physically assaulting her on Monday. Apparently the two had quite the argument that turned rather violent according to her.

Swanson made the injuries public by posting them, the bruises on her eye and cheekbone made it quite evident that she did suffer some form of abuse.

According to the report, the authorities wanted to speak with the rap artist on Monday after they saw the bruises on his girlfriend’s face, but he refused to grant them what they wished.

Well, it was as of this morning that Tyga decided to turn himself in, the LAPD taking him into custody. This could be quite serious before the end. This might result in a felony charge for the rapper.

He had no comment to make as he was being brought into custody.

After a number of independent releases, the rapper was signed to a major record deal with three labels: Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records in 2008.

The aforementioned Careless World album was his first big hit record in 2011.

As of this writing, he is headed to court to await charges.
