New York Giants’ rookie Kadarius Toney was ejected in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 44-20 blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys for throwing a punch at safety Damontae Kazee.

His shocking act, unfortunately, overshadowed what was a stellar game for  Toney, who had 189 receiving yards on 10 catches, even breaking Odell Beckham Jr’s single-game Giants rookie receiving yards record.

He threw the punch after he was thrown to the ground while fighting for extra yards, but his behavior might have been fueled by the unfortunate events earlier in the game that contributed to the Giants’ horrific loss.

Saquon Barkley was taken to the locker room when he badly rolled his ankle after stepping on the foot of Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis. On top of that, quarterback Daniel Jones was also taken off the field with a concussion.

Giants head coach Joe Judge was furious with Toney’s behavior, and can be seen telling him to go to the locker room. We hope Kadarius’ career won’t suffer due to this unfortunate incident.
