Kyrie Irving has the rumor mill churning as fans and experts alike are under the belief that he might retire. At this time his status remains unknown.

Irving refused to get vaccinated and he put the Brooklyn Nets in a tricky situation. If Kyrie continues on like this he will miss around 45 games this season. That is not a good look and terrible for the Nets’ bench. He could also lose $15 million, and that’s not good for his bank account. There are a lot of losses to consider, and the Nets might consider a trade.

NBA Central tweeted out an opinion from Marc Stein about Kyrie Irving’s current status. It is believed that he might retire at this stage in his career if he was traded.

“There is a belief in some corners of the league that Irving would retire, or at least deeply ponder it, if Brooklyn suddenly traded him.”

We will have to see what Kyrie Irving does in his career. He could end all of this drama by taking the vaccine, but he seems willing to hold to those anti-vaxxer beliefs despite the ramifications. Needless to say, this story is far from over. Keep checking back with Thirsty for more updates.
