Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion. He also has a good relationship with Vince McMahon. McIntyre also has a hilarious reason for all the stories he tells.

WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury is one of the best professional boxers in the world right now. For the past couple of years, Fury has been teasing a match against WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre, with Fury once stating that he is ready to face him ‘anytime’.

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre had previously mentioned that he will do whatever it takes to fight Tyson Fury. He even claimed that Fury stalked him with new messages every day.

While speaking to Kevin Kellam, Drew McIntyre talked about facing off against Tyson Fury at a pay-per-view in the United Kingdom and made it clear he still hasn’t given up on having the match.

“I’ve not stopped talking about it for the past 10 years, especially in the past year and a half when I became WWE Champion. I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of media opportunities. Any chance I get, I talk about it. The U.K. is such a significant market for us. The fans are so passionate and rabid as everybody knows when you watch TV from the U.K. They deserve a significant PPV. There has not been one since SummerSlam ‘92.

Next year will be the 30 year anniversary. I’ve been pushing and pushing it. The interest, as much as I’ve been saying all this time for the past year, during the U.K tour every night, I spoke about it because any chance I get, I will push the idea of the U.K. PPV. I think I may have started a little spark that can ignite a fire because suddenly the internet is telling me that it’s happening. If it takes a big match like Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury to draw the eyeballs of lapsed fans or new fans to WWE within the U.K., then let’s do it. Whatever we have to do to make it happen, I’m all about that.”

Fans would certainly get behind seeing the two behemoths duke it out in a match somewhere down the line. We will have to see if WWE will be able to finalize a deal with Tyson Fury.
