Dana White Says Jon Jones Is 10 Years Late To Give Up Drinking

Dana White is known to be a very controversial figure when it comes to the proper payment of UFC stars. He was called out for this fact many times by the likes of Jake Paul. However, it cannot be dismissed that Dana White has made UFC what it is today as it remains the most popular promotion for MMA in the world right now. The world of MMA has certainly grown exponentially since its humble beginnings a couple of decades ago.

Dana White and Jon Jones have a very peculiar relationship. White has all the respect in the world for Jones but Jones demanding more pay for his fights put a strain on their relationship.

Jon Jones was also recently arrested on domestic violence charges as the whole MMA world reacted to his shocking arrest. Dana White then admitted that he almost expected Jon Jones to get arrested again.

Jon Jones then revealed that he will never drink alcohol ever again and clean up his act. While speaking to the media after the Contender Series 41, Dana White stated that Jon Jones is 10 years late in giving up alcohol.

“[He should’ve quit] 10 years ago! You’re late!

This is what Jon does when he comes to Vegas, and Jon comes to Vegas and… this is a rough place for him man. He was here less than 12 hours and you know he was in jail. Every time we bring him here, we try to keep him here for as short a time as possible, get him in and get him out. This time he was with his family so we figured… we figured wrong… we’ll see how this thing legally plays out and then we’ll go from there.”

We will have to wait and see whether Jon Jones will make good on his promise and clean up his act for good by stopping alcohol forever.
