Game Of Thrones was a pop culture phenomenon that took the world by storm since its first episode back in 2011. However, the 8th and final season of the show effectively killed its hype and removed it from pop culture in general.

Despite the overwhelmingly negative reception, many fans agree that The Mountain was one of the best characters in the whole show. Hafthor Bjornsson, who portrayed the role of The Mountain, is certainly a physically imposing man and lives up to the Mountain moniker.

Bjornsson previously showed off a dramatic weight loss in preparation for him stepping into the world of professional boxing. It seems all his preparation bore fruit from the looks of it.

According to Movieweb, Hafthor Bjornsson squared off against Devon Larratt at CoreSports’ Fight Night 3. He destroyed his opponent so badly in the boxing match that the referee called the fight in the first round.

It was truly a one-sided beatdown as Bjornsson lived up to his ‘Mountain’ moniker. He was initially supposed to face fellow strongman Eddie Hall, but Hall was forced to back out due to an injury during training.

It marked the third boxing match for Hafthor Bjornsson and also his first win, as his previous bouts all ended in draws. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for the man formerly known as ‘The Mountain.’
