Robert Durst has been found guilty for the murder of a friend, a tragic event that took place over twenty years ago. Authorities also believe this killing was connected to Durst’s missing wife.

The New York real estate heir was found guilty by jury on Tuesday afternoon. This first-degree murder verdict for the killing of Susan Berman in December 23, 2000 was a long time coming.

Berman was scheduled to speak to authorities about an alibi that she allegedly handed to Durst when his wife vanished. This was in 1982, according to prosecutors.

Kathie Durst has yet to be found, alive or dead. No charges were ever brought in regards to her disappearance. Now the 78-year-old Durst is guilty of one crime.

Durst has been in isolation after being exposed to COVID-19 while incarcerated. Friday’s verdict ended a trial that started in March 2020. The pandemic caused many delays, including a 14-month break.

Let’s get to know each other. Me? Well, I have a master’s degree in Journalism from Marshall University, but I don’t really like to talk about that. I was a stand-up comedian for eight years, but I don’t really like to talk about that either. I write a lot. I once worked for a company that writes blurbs for online gambling games. Those paid $.75 each. So, if you frequent that kind of thing, then you’re welcome for the description for Biker Chicken Slots or Crazy Granny’s Scratchers. I wish I had more to tell, but due to my crippling anxiety and Tourette’s Syndrome, that has become increasingly worse over the years, I tend to keep to myself.
