Former United States President Donald Trump is quite the divisive figure. It is no wonder that people have such strong feelings about him. Some, in fact, feel so strongly about him that the star bearing his name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame gets regularly defaced.

A similar incident took place recently, with the star being covered in dog feces. The act was committed on Thursday, and has had the public react with either disgust or with delight, based on their political leanings.

Whoever committed this act will not be charged with vandalism though, since the dumping of feces does not technically count as defacing, and can be easily cleared away.

This is quite different from previous instances, such as when James Otis repeatedly destroyed the star with a pickaxe over the last five years, and faced a $4,400 fine along with community service.

Actor George Lopez also made a statement in 2018 when he pretended to urinate on the star. Lopez was also not charged, since he did not cause any actual damage to the star.

However, Trump’s star is such a frequent target that the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which manages the Walk of Fame, had to put up a barrier around the star at one point.
