Gable Steveson is on his way to WWE after inking a big contract. WWE is going to take care of the Olympic Gold Medalist as they are even setting up a remote training facility for him to train while he attends the University of Minnesota.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that WWE will have Gable Steveson skip the line and bypass NXT, the company’s developmental brand. He could be on the main roster very soon and it will be a sink or swim situation.

“They are big behind him for a lot of reasons, but it doesn’t mean he’s going to be a success, ether. I mean, it’s like he’s going to have the microscope on him and he’s gonna be up there [on the WWE main roster] too soon, for sure. He’s gonna be in matches too soon as far as to be a good worker, because they’re gonna try to capitalize on it although I think he goes full time in May 2022 and, you know at that point they’re gonna be grooming him to the top spots, and they signed him to a deal that pretty much wants him there.”

Only time will tell how things turn out for Gable Steveson in WWE. He has a ton of potential, and he also has a ton of buzz around his name. People like Ronda Rousey an Kurt Angle were able to make big transitions over to the main roster without skipping a beat. We will have to see how Steveson responds to his training.

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
