Drake is a veteran musician and that is exactly why younger rappers such as Kodak Black want him as a mentor. He also has a lot of interests outside of making music. It seems he has also inspired another rapper to make his comeback to the industry.

Rapper Lupe Fiasco recently finished recording a new album that features 10 songs, which is known as Illmatic. While he was inspired by Nas’ 1994 classic, it seems he also has another rapper as far as inspiration goes.

On his new freestyle “Diet Soda Poetry” on Drake’s ”Certified Lover Boy’s” opening song “Champagne Poetry,” the Chicago MC gave credit to Drake for pushing him to improve to the best of his ability.

“Just left album mode with me and my n-gga Trakk/And Drake dropped this shit, got me thinking about going back,”

Lupe also showed his life for Drake’s latest studio album when it dropped as he took to Twitter and gave props to Drake, stating that he’ll always listen to Drake’s works.

“Drake will always get a listen from me. Entertaining, consistent and cool. And he be talking mad shit.”

Drake will forever continue to inspire several rappers and that is unlikely to change anytime soon from the looks of it.
