Green Day & Weezer have been going on tour together. While they performed together to conclude their Hella Mega Tour in the U.S., Billie Joe Armstrong and company decided to prank the punk rock band completely out of the blue.

Armstrong decided to lead many costumed mascots on the stage while Weezer rocked out to “Surf Wax America.” However, there are many theories as to whether Green Day was behind it or not.

Kerrang‘s theories on the prank implies that it was Green Day’s drummer Tré Cool on the stage while appearing as Jar-Jar Binks. Another figure who had a striking resemblance with Elvis Presley remains unidentified. Weezer’s assistent Karl Koch later said in the caption:

Seattle! 9/6/21 Final show of the US @hellamegatour and @greenday knows how to party, pranking us during ‘Surf Wax America’! Thanks to them, @falloutboy @theinterrupters all the road crews, and YOU for making this tour amazing!
