John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.

John Cena returned at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view back in July and set his sights on Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship. Cena failed to beat Reigns for the title at WWE SummerSlam, but he did introduce an interesting T-shirt.

He has also acted in several films such as The Suicide Squad, Bumblebee and the upcoming Peacemaker spinoff series as well.

While speaking to ComicBook.com, John Cena talked about how the world of stand-up comedy has a correlation with WWE and explained his point of view.

“As far as what I learned, not only Rel, Yvonne, Meredith, Clay, King Bach, everybody has a sustainable form of success in their set of skills. I’m around so many funny people. It’s to learn how people present funny and people present comedy, and I love being around comedians especially, because it’s like they’re always in their craft. I also love the correlation that comedy, especially stand-up comedy, has to the world of WWE, but in WWE, we can’t really be on our craft all the time because it involves having a ring and doing our stuff. Comedians always seem to be in it and always seem to be like, “Oh, well maybe that could be a bit.” I really like to see that process and hear about that journey, and it was really fun getting Rel’s perspective on all that.”

It is to be noted that Dolph Zigger also does standup comedy when he isn’t too busy competing inside the squared circle. As for Cena, he is set to appear on the September 10th episode of Friday Night Smackdown at Madison Square Garden, but will no longer be staying after that due to his obligations with Hollywood.
