Britney Spears’ name is making headlines again, but it has nothing to do with anything the Toxic singer actually did. Her ex-husband Jason Alexander was cuffed at a Nashville, Tennessee airport.

According to Page Six, Alexander was arrested for allegedly violating security on Sunday. The 39-year-old was married to Spears for 55 hours in 2004, and he has used that as his claim to fame since.

He was temporarily taken into custody and charged with a misdemeanor according to court records. His bail was set at $2,500. According to the report, Alexander was, “booked into jail on Aug. 29 and released on Aug. 30.”

Details about what led to that arrest are unclear at this point. A rep for the Metro Police Department was not available for comment.

According to Radar Online, “Alexander was arrested for allegedly trespassing into the “non-secure” area of the TSA and attempting to skip the line. He was reportedly then handcuffed and taken into a room for questioning.”

Alexander called his arrest an “inconvenience” during a lengthy Instagram Live session on Tuesday as he ended “up in handcuffs because of something stupid.”

This case is still open, but we are unclear as to what “stupid” thing got Jason Alexander picked up by the police.

Let’s get to know each other. Me? Well, I have a master’s degree in Journalism from Marshall University, but I don’t really like to talk about that. I was a stand-up comedian for eight years, but I don’t really like to talk about that either. I write a lot. I once worked for a company that writes blurbs for online gambling games. Those paid $.75 each. So, if you frequent that kind of thing, then you’re welcome for the description for Biker Chicken Slots or Crazy Granny’s Scratchers. I wish I had more to tell, but due to my crippling anxiety and Tourette’s Syndrome, that has become increasingly worse over the years, I tend to keep to myself.
