DaBaby’s name has been dragged through the mud after making a controversial and homophobic statement at Rolling Loud in Miami. DaBaby previously posted a half-hearted apology for his harmful and insensitive remarks as he took to Instagram, but then he would go on to delete the post.
Rappers such as 50 Cent showed support for DaBaby and believed that he will recover just like how Chris Brown did when he was cancelled. Nick Cannon also recently supported DaBaby and told fans to embrace the rapper.
DaBaby suffered the consequences as he was supposed to have a featured verse on Kanye West’s new “Donda’ album, but it didn’t happen. The album was almost delayed because of DaBaby as well.
Kanye West accused DaBaby’s manager of being responsible for the verse not being cleared and thus delaying the project’s release. Arnold Taylor, the manager, took to his Instagram and fired back at Kanye West’s accusations, dismissing it as ‘cap.’
“I never got a call or email from @kanyewest @__bu @johnmonopoly I just received it today and cleared it in 2 seconds. Why wouldn’t I want a hit song out when #SCMG is all about the growth and culture of hip hop and my artist!!! To all of the media blogs and outlets don’t believe everything you see in a post, thank you!!!”
It is not sure whether the album really was delayed because of DaBaby’s manager or not, but it is a fact that DaBaby is no longer on the ‘Donda’ album and that is highly unlikely to change.
