Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is one of the all-time greats in the world of professional basketball. James suffered a very nasty injury to his right ankle in the Lakers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks back in March and despite making a return, James simply hasn’t been the same since the injury. Despite all this, King James remains one of the richest NBA players of all time and for good reason.

According to Essentially Sports, LeBron James was touted as the only active NBA player to become a billionaire. There is a good reason for that as he has a lucrative contract with the Lakers and his own business venture apart from that. His latest film ‘Space Jame 2: A New Legacy’ was a huge hit at the Box Office as well.

In fact, LeBron James was ranked in the top 10 of Forbes’ richest athletes of 2021. However, in actuality, James’ real net worth is around  $850 million, which is still nothing to sneeze at but isn’t quite at a billion.

On the other hand, Michael Jordan is still the king when it comes to being the richest NBA star in the history of the sport. He earned more in his business ventures than he did during his time as an active NBA player. His net worth is said to be is $1.6 billion, which is almost double that of LeBron James.

All of this simply goes to show that there will only ever be one Michael Jordan and no matter what, James will never be on Jordan’s level when it comes to being a businessman.
