Kendrick Lamar has established himself as one of the best rappers in the Hip-Hop world right now and his music continues to touch people all over the world. Lamar previously hinted at dropping a new album soon and now it seems the time for that has come.

Kendrick Lamar took to Twitter and shared a link to a site called oklama.com, which featured a folder titled “nu thoughts” and a written statement in which he revealed that his next studio project will be his final TDE album.

“As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years.

The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.

There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I’ve prayed for you all. See you soon enough

Kendrick has released his entire discography through TDE, which started with his excellent 2011 debut Section.80 and then 2017’s Damn which got him a Pulitzer Prize for Music.

The beginning portion of his note also revealed his thoughts on his hiatus for over four years and why he did that in the first place.

“I spend most of my days with fleeting thoughts. Writing. Listening. And collecting old Beach cruisers. The morning rides keep me on a hill of silence. I go months without a phone. Love, loss, and grief have disturbed by comfort zone, but the glimmers of God speak through my music and family. While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next.”

We will have to wait and see just how good his upcoming album will turn out to be as there is definitely a lot of anticipation for it.
