Conor McGregor suffered a tough break at UFC 264 when his leg snapped after one round in the Octagon with Dustin Poirier. Now he is on the mend, but Notorious is making rapid progress.

McGregor’s injury put him in an awful place, but it also opened up a lot of commentary about his current state. The fact that he hurled death threats at Dustin Poirier and his wife wasn’t lost on anyone.

TMZ caught up with the former UFC Champion and he had great news to report. Apparently, his recovery progress is coming along very well. He’s actually about a month ahead of schedule at this point, but that return date is still in 2022.

“Five weeks, five days since the surgery and they told me I wouldn’t be able to cycle until eight weeks. And, he just told me just here today that I can cycle again!”

“I can cycle again, my man! Three weeks ahead of schedule!”

The 33-year-old fighter spent 3.5 hours under the knife to repair that break after UFC 264. He isn’t wasting any time getting back in fighting shape either. Hopefully, he will have time to rest up and come back refreshed in the process.

Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
