Drake is making headlines over the soon-to-be-completed “Certified Lover Boy” album, but he’s already making history with his previous releases. Drizzy now holds some huge bragging rights thanks to a new stat from Spotify.

The former Degrassi star is one of the most successful rappers in history and now he has a new record to his name. He dominates streaming music platforms all over, and that includes Spotify. Now he is the first to ever have 150 songs with over 100 million streams.

Getting one song with 100 million streams is guaranteed money and celebrity, but Drizzy took the cake. His song “One Dance” has 2.1 billion on Spotify, and they just keep going.

“God’s Plan” is up there as well with 1.7 billion streams. Obviously, this is a huge achievement, but another high ranking song is “Passionfruit” with 947,863,544 listens.

Hearing this new stat makes Drake’s comment about Rick Ross being “the greatest rapper alive today” mean all that much more. We’ll have to see what records there are to break for Drizzy next, but odds are he is right on top of them.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
