Gable Steveson In Talks With Bellator

Gable Steveson is an Olympian and NCAAA Division I National Champion and there is no doubt that WWE is interested in signing him to a contract. It is also very likely that his name will spark a bidding war between WWE and the UFC. He is also teasing the possibility that the NFL might get him to sign on the dotted line. Obviously, the world is open for the Olympic Gold Medalist.

Gable Steveson also had a tremendous performance at the Tokyo Olympics, as he won the gold medal in the 125kg freestyle category. There is no doubt his stock has risen significantly after Steveson’s huge win. Apart from WWE, even the UFC has shown interest in signing him. Steveson recently stated that he wants to become a UFC Champion one day. However, now it seems he also has an interest in another MMA promotion.

While speaking to MMA Junkie, Bellator MMA CEO Scott Coker confirmed that his organization is currently in talks with Gable Steveson.

“I can tell you this, that we’ve already been in touch with his managemen. I do know that he has a couple years left of school and wants to go back and wrestle. There’s dialogue going on, but he really wants to wrestle right now. If he wants to come to MMA, we’ve love to have him here. Nobody builds athletes from wrestling or ground up like we do. I think we’re the best at it. I think we’d be a great home for him.”

It is to be noted that whatever money Bellator is offering, it is unlikely to touch the offers given by WWE and UFC. Being only 21 years of age, the sky is the limit for Steveson, so we will have to wait and see whether he will sign with WWE or UFC in the future.
