Manny Pacquiao is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, and he was set for a big August 21st fight. The Las Vegas event was set to be the hottest ticket in town that night, despite WWE’s SummerSlam competition. Now that long-awaited fight against Errol Spence Jr. is reportedly not happening.

According to combat sports journalist Dan Rafael, Errol Spence Jr. is out of the big fight. Due to a torn retina in his left eye, Pacquiao no longer has an opponent on August 21st.

We will have to see if the event organizers can scramble to find a new opponent for Manny Pacquiao. Plenty of boxers would likely love to get in line to box the legend, but few would be so eager with such short preparation time.

Jake Paul’s name was floated to Manny Pacquiao, and that fight is a possibility down the line. The Problem Child is already slated to fight Tyron Woodley on August 29th, so that situation seems impossible.
