LeBron James has a lot of famous friends and they often party it up. It turns out that King James was with Kyle Kuzma minutes before Kuzma’s SUV was stolen.

According to TMZ, Kuzma’s Chevy Tahoe SUV was stolen in Hollywood on Sunday night around 1:30 AM. Police spotted the vehicle and a chase occured. In the end, the stolen SUV whacked a cop car, and an officer was sent to the hospital with “minor injuries.” The suspect was arrested.

LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma are still close despite the fact that Kuzma is getting sent to the Wizards for Russell Westbrook. The two were hanging out just prior to this big heist that went awry.

King James and Kuzma were at a send-off party that James threw for him just before the car theft. Kuzma didn’t show up in his SUV, but that vehicle still made the news in a big way. Obviously, he had nothing to do with the incident, because he was preoccupied with some now-former teammates.

It is strange timing that this happened to Kuzma in LA just as he prepares to embark on a new chapter in his career as a pro baller. Now he will get to test the streets of Washington to see if his cars are any safer.

Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries.
