Billie Eilish has a brazen attitude and she’s not afraid to ruffle feathers. This includes speaking her mind whenever she sees fit, but there is also an insecurity under that outward confidence.

While speaking to The Guardian, Billie Eilish revealed that struggles with her body image has encouraged her to wear baggier clothes, especially while performing and while walking the red carpet before events. She confessed that they can be “really unflattering” as well.”

The 19-year-old singer said, “I’m obviously not happy with my body…but who is?” as she continued to open up about her reaction to what she sees online, because she doesn’t realize how those clothes make her look until seeing the photos.

“I see people online, looking like I’ve never looked. And immediately I am like, oh my God, how do they look like that? I know the ins and outs of this industry, and what people actually use in photos, and I actually know what looks real can be fake. Yet I still see it and go, oh God, that makes me feel really bad.”

“When I’m on stage, I have to disassociate from the ideas I have of my body. Especially because I wear clothes that are bigger and easier to move in without showing everything – they can be really unflattering.”

We’ll have to see what’s next for Billie Eilish, but she continues to inspire others through her own struggles. Opening up about such things cannot be easy, but plenty of people can relate to the practice of wearing baggy clothes because they don’t like how they look.
