DaBaby upset a lot of people with his remarks at Rollins Loud, and he doesn’t seem too broken up about the controversy. He followed that up with a big claim that he has now reached icon status.

There was an apology from DaBaby after his homophobic and sexist comments at Rolling Loud. That didn’t seem to cut it with a lot of people who found themselves agreeing with Chris Brown for a change. They were shocked by that turn of events as well.

Now DaBaby is crowing in a big way as he laid claim to reaching a new level in the rap game. He is now a self-proclaimed legend.

I was tryna be a rapper for like one more year God ready for me to be a ICON now. This what I asked for I proudly accept the challenge. lets get it.

Please keep in mind that DaBaby made these comments about himself, but his timeline was still full of plenty of fans backing up what he had to say. We’ll have to see how long it takes for that controversy to smooth over, but he’s going to keep doing his own thing no matter what anyone thinks.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
