Plenty of people are out there looking for that next big sneaker drop, but Kyrie Irving isn’t too happy about his upcoming kicks. A photo leak of his new Nike Kyrie 8s dropped and he’s not impressed.

A photo of the new sneaker dropped on Instagram and Kyrie saw it. He also had a scathing review to post in the comments. While distancing himself from the design, he straight-up called it “trash.” Obviously, he won’t be waiting online to snag a paid the moment they drop.

“I have nothing to do with the design or marketing of the upcoming #Kyrie8, IMO these are trash. I have Absolutely nothing to do with them! Nike plans to release it without my okay regardless of what I say, so I apologize in advance to all of my sneaker heads and true supporters of the #KAI11 brand.”

This apology might have only raised the stock on these sneakers. You never know what specialty aspect might make a pair of shoes skyrocket in price. We’ll have to see how well those shoes sell, but if his name is attached then that money Kyrie gets in his royalty check won’t be trash at all.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
