DaBaby took the stage at Rolling Loud and he had a lot to say. That homophobic rant got a lot of attention and he isn’t finding many supporters outside of T.I.

In case you need a refresher, DaBaby said on the microphone, in front of thousands of people:

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”

“Ladies, if your p*ssy smell like water, put your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d*ck in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

After DaBaby said that, someone threw a show at his head. Dua Lipa was one of many who spoke out against what DaBaby said at Rolling Loud. She updated her Instagram stories with a text graphic that directly lambasted DaBaby for expressing such a horrific and closedminded opinion.

I’m surprised and horrified by DaBaby’s comments. I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGTBQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.

DaBaby did not apologize in a way that anyone accepted as genuine at all. He will continue doing his own thing, because all this buzz likely only raised his stock in the rap game. He also likely lost a lot of fans in the process.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
