The Rock has not wrestled in WWE since WrestleMania 32 when he has a six-second match against Erick Rowan. He has a lot of irons in the fire, and many fans would love to see Dwayne Johnson light up a WWE ring once again.

ET recently spoke to The Rock while he was promoting Jungle Cruise. He was asked if there is anything to the rumors that he is making a return to WWE, and his response was, “there’s nothing.”

Emily Blunt took some of the pressure off that loaded WWE question by chiming in to say, “It’s gonna be me and him.” Obviously, she knows how to divert attention from a question in expert fashion.

Either The Rock is no-selling the reports, or plans have changed. Andrew Zarian reported on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast that The Rock will have some kind of involvement with Survivor Series this November. It was not reported that The Rock has a match in store, but Roman Reigns vs The Rock is still the match for WrestleMania 38.

The Rock obviously isn’t going to let the cat out of the bag about a WWE return while speaking to E! It was worth a try. Now we know that he will deny that upcoming appearance, which could hint at a bigger surprise in the pipeline for WWE fans.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
